Unpacking the Athlete is a podcast that dives deep into the background of each athlete, takes a close look at their training, analyzes how they recover, as well as other key things to learn more on how to apply these principles to help you strive to become better as an athlete yourself. In saying that, this podcast is for any athlete, at any level, young or old, to help fill their toolbox with tools for their own athletic success. For those desperate to gain that slight competitive edge, this is for you! Hopefully at the minimum, you will be motivated from the podcast to go out and be the best version of yourself.
My name is Rob Martin, I have been in athletics my whole life, starting with soccer, basketball, wrestling, track, cross country, and last but not least mountain biking. I also am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) for many years now. With this certification I have been a personal trainer and cycling coach for many. I am also involved with a youth mountain bike team, and love helping them reach new levels.
